The Pressure Sounds are a Washington, DC band that plays ska, rock steady and reggae. Our music is inspired by the great sounds from Jamaica in the 60's & 70's.
We've had crowds dancing at The 9:30 Club, The Black Cat, The Knitting Factory (NYC), The Trocadero (Philly), and many other music venues in DC and Baltimore.
NEWS:
- 10/18/07: New Guitarist: We are happy to welcome Fritz Stolzenbach to the band!
- 9/30/07: The band is seeking a singer, and sax and trumpet players. We wish our good friends Caz and Sam well. Stay tuned for news about the next edition of the band.
- 6/5/07: The band is pleased to welcome our new drummer Matt Nelson. He made his debut with us at the 9:30 Club on June 1st.
